فيلة تايلاندية تضع توأمين ذكرين

وضعت فيلة تايلاندية ذكرين توأمين للمرة الأولى في العالم ، حسبما أفادت وسائل الإعلام المحلية.وذكرت صحيفة (ذا نيشن) أن الفيلة فانغ ثونغ خون -35 عاما- من إقليم سورين ، وضعت التوأمين.وقال مدرب الأفيال براباي موخورن للصحيفة إن البهجة عمت الجمهور عندما ولد التوأمان بفارق ساعتين بينهما .وجدير بالذكر أن الفيلين الصغيرين اللذين لم تجر تسميتهما بعد ، يمثلان أول حالة ولادة لتوأمين ذكرين في العالم . وكانت تايلاند قد شهدت مولد توأمين من الإناث هما فانج جوم وفانج جيم ، قبل 15 عاما.
ومن المعروف أن ولادة توائم من هذه الحيوانات الضخمة أمر نادر ، كما أن احتمال بقاء هذه المواليد على قيد الحياة ، ضعيف.
وكان عدد الأفيال في تايلاند منذ قرن من الزمان يبلغ حوالي 100 ألف حيث كان يجري استغلالها في أعمال التحطيب والنقل في أغلب مناطق المملكة. ومنذ ذلك الوقت بدأ العدد في الانخفاض حتى وصل إلى أقل من 4000 يستغل أغلبها في مجال السياحة.
