الموارد المائية : توقيع عقدا لتنفيذ سد الشهابي بمحافظة واسط بكلفة 5 مليار دينار

وقعت الهيئة العامة للسدود والخزانات التابعة لوزارة الموارد المائية عقدا مع شركة الرافدين العامة لتنفيذ مشروع سد الشهابي في محافظة واسط بكلفة خمسة مليارات و700 مليون دينار وبمدة انجاز تبلغ /14/ شهرا.
وذكر بيان للمكتب الاعلامي للوزارة : يبلغ طول جسم السد /270/ مترا وبارتفاع /9/ امتار والسعة الخزنية للسد بحدود مليون متر مكعب من المياه اضافة الى احتوائه على مسيل مائي مبوب.
واضاف البيان : ان تنفيذ السد يهدف الى توفير المياه خلال فترة الشتاء والاستفادة منها في الزراعة الصيفية وتقليل آثار الفيضان اضافة الى تغذية المياه الجوفية في المنطقة .
